Frequently Asked Questions

For persons with lived experience, would you need the signature letter written by them or could it be written on behalf of them narrating their story?

Agencies are not required to submit any letter; there is a form in the RFP for agencies to sign. You are required to have a letter signed from your CES Lead that will include items from page 8 of the RFP.

What is the work schedule expected for the CES Lead role?

This is something that can be highly tailored to the individual community, we can see a project with more FTE (Full-Time Employee) staff positions or fewer FTE staff positions depending on what this financial support behind that expense budget would need to be for that person to be able to operate effectively. So there is a lot of variance that’s allowable. Agencies are required to provide documentation of what a person’s activities are to ensure that they’re eligible, and that can take very few various ranges. The role hours should be reflective of the local community’s needs.

If we’re not able to completely get the grant filled out, are there some steps we could do to get it partially sent in?

If you encounter any issues with your application, it’s advisable to submit whatever information you have promptly. If you don’t have a sams.gov number or a federal UEI number yet, and you’re eligible, it’s crucial to obtain and file your registration as there might be a delay in receiving it. Please note that our process cannot accept your application without these numbers. To avoid delays, submit your grant along with all necessary documentation for your UEI registration before the 8th. Doing so will allow our review panel to assess your application under the best-case scenario.

For the grant application, is there a limit to the expectations and page numbers?

On page six of the RFP document, there is a typo at the top of the page that says there is a maximum of no more than five pages. The panel is not enforcing any limit of page numbers, so disregard the top information in the parenthesis for Project Description Narrative.
